Here, the original garden had some splendid 15ft hedges, but the
borders of the main area in front of the house was overgrown and almost
un-recoverable. We excavated much of the old box edging from the
undergrowth and replaced the elderly shrubs with herbaceous plants to
give a long season of soft colours, and a rather 'English garden' look.
